Dear Professor  Arcidiacono

in the beginning of the New Year 1984, from the 21st to the 21th January, the important scientific event will take place in India in honour of sir Arthur Eddington.

The Eddington Centenary celebration will be held in Nagpur, the beautiful capital of the Indian Maharashtra State.

The Eddington celebrations will consist of an Internatiomal Symposium on Relativity and Cosmology with three parallel sessions:
1) plenary lectures by invited speakers
2) discussion groups, chaired by moderators
3) a special school on Numerical Relativity.

I would like to invite you, also on behalf of the President of Einstein Foundation International (EFI) Prof.T.M. Karade, to attend all these events and, in particular, I request you to kindly accept the responsibility of acting as a chairman/moderator on a subject of your choioe and enlighten us by delivering a plenary lecture on a topic of your desire.

The expenses connected with your stay in Nagpur will be at the charge of the EFI and moreover we shall be also honoured to have as guest in lfagpur a member of your family if is accompanying you.
